The very first Korean Drama I have ever watched. It was one of the top rated dramas in 2014 and that was the same year, I guess I watched. And, this is where the bug of K Drama struck me!

Outline

This is a fantasy time-travel based story that is just breathtaking and awesomely put up. And, a story which isn’t predictable and thoroughly engaging. Kim Soo Hyun, who is actually younger to Jun Ji Hyun in reality, but plays a fantasy character who is much much elder to Ji Hyun. He is an alien who lands on Earth and then comes to fall in love with Jun Ji Hyun. The way the story goes back to the historical times and yet connects back to the present very well.

Storyline Synopsis

Kim Soo Hyun as Doo Min Joon portrayed the present character of a Professor [out of several others] so elegantly and effortlessly that can make one fall for him. He speaks less but makes a great screen presence. He is perfect in whatever he does and leaves a great impression on everyone. He meets Jun Ji Hyun, Cheon Song Yi, who is a successful actress and known for her trantrums. She becomes the neighbour of Min Joon one fine day and starts falling for him. She is at her crazy best, yet, Min Joon saves her on several occasions. Meanwhile, there are other important characters in the story who try to harm Song Yi and are jealous of her because of her success.

Viewpoints

I became a great fan of Kim Soo Hyun as I watched this drama. This is definitely one of the best dramas ever and looks like Jun Ji Hyun is quite selective when it comes to dramas, given she has a history of only five dramas. The ‘My Sassy Girl’ is a timeless beauty who never seems to age. Both of them complemented each other well. This drama has been awesomely shot so much that I find it difficult to find any negative points.

Original Sound Track

I have only one word – ‘Wow’. It’s outstanding and out of this world.

The songs, especially – “You are my destiny” struck my mind and heart so bad that I still listen to the same once in a while. The beats, lyrics [though Greek and Latin to me, then] are so good that I got easily connected, despite not understanding the lyrics.

Ending Note

This is a drama that would take one to a different level of fantasy and perfect comic timing, amidst the ocean of love. I would love to watch it all over again. It’s a treat to watch Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun. We wouldn’t be able to help but fall for them.

This is a must watch, for sure. And, of course, one of those few that can be always re-watched.

Happy Watching! ❤
