‘Personal Taste’ would always find a spot in my all-time favorite Korean Dramas ever, that I would love watching all over again. This is the first drama of Lee Min Ho that I ever watched, having been oblivious to the facts about his talent, popularity and all. It was originally released in 2010 and hence, we would witness Lee Min Ho as as very young lad who fills-in the role of a mature and amazing person in this pleasing drama.
Outline
This is a realistic story with a different and amazing touch. Son Ye Jin as Park Gae In is a simple yet clumsy girl in her late twenties who grows up without a mother. She ends-up inviting troubles all the time. Nevertheless, she is a brilliant furniture designer, which she always tries to prove herself in front of her father who seems to be not caring towards her.
Lee Min Ho as Jeon Jin Ho is an architect and as destiny wishes, Jin Ho and Gae In meet each other and what follows is a series of funny moments, some serious stuff and how they fall in love with each other, despite the circumstances they are in.
Storyline Synopsis
The story starts with Gae In getting dumped by her manipulative boyfriend, from whom she finds herself always saved from by Jin Ho. Gae In allows Jin Ho to be her roommate ‘mis’-taking him to be gay. Jin Ho doesn’t reveal his actual identity and stays with Gae In for her house has been an architectural marvel, which Jin Ho wishes to study. Eventually, Jin Ho finds himself falling for Gae In, in spite of the flaws that Gae In carries with her. Gae In too falls for him but restricts herself assuming Jin Ho is gay and thinks this is wrong. A lot of things ensue between them, but then all’s well that ends well.
Viewpoints
Jin Ho is an absolute perfectionist – a character that is so rare to find ever. He’s is a lot more caring who can go to stretches beyond imagination. And this makes Gae In take Jin Ho for her lost mother, for the concern he shows upon her. Jin Ho initially takes Gae In to be a crazy girl who hardly has any etiquettes, trusts people easily, is highly unorganized and someone who is quite easy to fool around. However, she has a heart of gold. She pesters Jin Ho over several occasions and makes him do all those stuffs that he would never have had imagined ever. This reminds me of the episode – The Thing with Wings. That was so sweet of him. And then, there are several moments in the show that just make one fall for Jin Ho. Loved Jin Ho / Min Ho for the perfect portrayal! ❤
There are other characters that are important to the story line as well. Son Ye Jin as Gae In is amazing as usual and carries off the role effortlessly. She is lovely and her expressions are amazing. The comic timings are perfect and do strike a cord everytime. This is definitely a special drama which is unique in itself – we go crazy over it.
This is a must-watch in my opinion. In fact, this drama can be watched all over again and we wouldn’t help but fall for Jin Ho / Min Ho even more!

Ending Note
I started it off to clear off my detachment towards Korean Dramas. But, little did I know that I would find myself so much addicted to these. Personal Taste was so much on my mind that all I cared was watching this drama and finishing it off. Jin Ho is an individual whom every girl dreams of. Gae In will warm your hearts with her naivety and heart of gold. This is an all-time favorite of anyone who would watch it, for all you witness is sheer innocence, pure love and joy.
A simple story, beautifully woven and a perfect treat to the viewers! ❤
Happy Watching! ❤
