This is my second book with the #ReadingWithSushant book club. I must say, I enjoyed this read. What a lovely book this is! I am so glad I picked this up. The title of the book is what initially attracted me and a part of me wanted to explore what this book had to offer. And, I am happy that I did.
About The Book
‘Quiet’ wishes to explore the world of introverts. She probably lets us wander around a world to delve and know more on what makes people introverts and why are they so. Most, importantly, this book tries to simply apprise us of what introvertedness actually means. She typically brings out excellent contrasts between the two worlds, while also staggering around the intermediate one – the ambiverts.
Special Highlights
I never knew the one of the world’s greatest scientists, Newton, was also one of the world’s great introverts. Yes, there are more such names. I was awestruck at this.
Did we ever think from the perspective of how introvertedness actually empowers the individuals ?! This book beautifully reveals what goes on in the minds of introverts and how different they are from the extroverts, who are gauged to be instant attractions. Susan also talks about how introverts deal with relationships and how it affects lives.
Read this book to know what makes you an introvert / ambivert / extrovert. I, particularly, got convinced after reading this book and understood my true self!
About The Author
This is my first book written by Susan and her writing is indeed captivating. It’s simple and very introspective, especially with respect to this book. Her writing will not allow you to put the book down, for sure. It’s succinct and to the point. Susan seems to have been very thorough with her research before penning down this book and relevantly quotes all her observations.
